Yes!! The air is getting colder, the leaves look their best in their autumn colours. The Autumn is finally here! And what better time than this to create your adorable and easy-to-make Fox DIY with the children.

Last week’s star was our cute little acorn hedgehog, today is, its friend, the fox’s turn to be in the spotlight with this DIY lovely easy-to-make autumn project.

Autumn  easy-to-make Fox DIY first step: a walk outdoor

We don’t know how you feel, but for us the best DIYs are those that involve the kids getting out of the house!
The very first thing necessary for this adorable fox DIY is to go for a stroll in the park or in the woods to collect leaves.
Choose brown or brown-ish leaves to match the colour of the fox. The best size for this exciting DIY project is medium-sized leaves. You will need a minimum of 2 leaves to make one fox, but it is probably safer to pick up quite a few in case of some mis-haps or if the kids love it so much they want to make several.

Fox DIY: What you need

In addition to the leaves you have collected, you will need:
– Some glue
– Felt-tip marker pens or paint
Posca pens are ideal for this DIY project.

This activity is suitable to all ages, it is easy and quick to make.

Fox DIY: How to make

Stick the stems of the 2 leaves together and the bottom of the leaves in such way that the tops of both leaves are kept open and apart to make the fox’s ears.

The last step is to bring this cute fox into life.
Use first the white marker to colour the ears and the jaw.
Then, paint his nose in black by drawing a triangle upside down.
Finally, draw his eyes like 2 semicircles and eyelashes on them.

Do you know that a group of foxes is called a skulk or also an earth or a leash?
Get the kids to each make one or several leaf foxes and have fun giving each a different expression to show different emotions.
