How do I fix my iron-on labels for clothes?

What to do if my iron-on labels for clothes become unstuck? 🙁

The adhesion quality of our iron-on labels is guaranteed 10 years. Properly fixed, they cannot become unstuck. They have been designed to withstand washing machine and tumble dryer sessions.

In addition, the iron-on labels that have become unstuck keep theirr adhesion quality. Do keep them as they can be stuck back on! In most cases, a label becomes unstuck because the temperature of the iron at the time of fixing was too low. If the back of the label is still shiny (that will be the glue) that means that when the label was ironed on, the temperature of the iron was too low and the glue did not melt enough.

Here are a few tips on how-to re stick your labels for clothes :

fer a repasser I use a classic standard iron:

  1. I increase the T° of my iron (max T°)
  2. I position the label on my garment
  3. I cover the label with the greaseproof paper supplied
  4. I apply my hot iron with a downward pressure
    • During 5 seconds (without moving)
    • I renew the process if necessary
  5. I let the greaseproof paper cool down before removing it

A well stuck label shows the fabric fibre pattern through. From then on, the label should not come off.

If despite these tips, you still have difficulties to fix your labels, do contact us.

I use a steam generator iron: fer a repasser

  1. I make sure to switch off the steam function of my steam generator iron as it cools down the sole of the iron and therefore  prevents a good adhesion of the label on the garment
  2. I make sure that the heat function of my iron is not deactivated
  3. I increase the T° of my iron (T° max)
  4. I position my label on the garment (directly onto the fabric)
  5. I cover the label with the sheet of greaseproof paper supplied
  6. I apply my hot iron with a downward pressure
    • During 5 seconds (without moving)
    • I renew the process if necessary
  7. I let the greaseproof paper cool down before removing it

A well stuck label shows the fabric fibre pattern through. From then on, the labels should not come off.

If despite these tips, you still have difficulties to fix your labels, we recommend that you use a classic iron (which has a higher temperature capacity).

How to remove an iron-on label from my clothes ?

Our iron-on labels have been designed to remain on the clothes they are marking. Their adhesion is guaranteed for 10 years. There is no universal solution to remove them.

However, here’s a method used by some of our customers to remove the labels when  you are done with the clothes:

  • Cover the label you want to remove with a piece of kitchen foil, then heat up the foil and therefore the label, with your iron. If you use a steam generator, make sure to have the steam function on and release a lot of the steam . Then carefully peel off the piece of foil (BEWARE it will be hot), the label should  be stuck or at least partially to the piece of foil. We cannot guarantee 100% success of this method, as our first criteria when designing the labels were for them to remain stuck for years.

How do I fix my stick-on labels for clothes?

Our stick-on labels for clothes have been designed to be stuck on the polyester brand or care labels of the garments, these labels withstand machine washes (60°).

  1. Remove from the backing, the sticker most suited to the size of the care or brand label.
  2. Stick it directly on to the brand or care label of the garment (never stick the stick-on label directly onto the garment itself as it will come unstuck).
  3. Press strongly on the stick-on label, making sure thee is no air bubble between it and the label.
  4. Wait 24h before the first wash.

 

Sew-on labels for clothes

How to fix my sew-on labels for clothes?

Our sew-on labels come ready cut. Thermo-cut, they do not fray.
They are designed to withstand washing machine and tumble drier sessions.

To be sewn directly on the clothes, in the location of your choice.
So they are maintained durably in place, we recommend to sew your labels with a polyester thread.
You can sew your label in place by hand or using a sewing machine.

The number of characters per line (spaces included) is 20. You can up to 2 lines of text.
If the text that you would like is over the characters’ limit and no more than 25 characters, we suggest that you place your order online with the incomplete text. The stickers for objects

How to stick the stickers for objects?

Our stickers for objects will stick to most surfaces as long as they are clean and smooth. They are therefore ideal to label pens, pencils, bottles, glasses, boxes… To achieve optimal adhesion, let the sticker in place for 24h before applying any constraints: washing, heating, rubbing… For the stickers special shoes, first fix the name sticker at heel level on the sole of the shoe, then cover with one of the transparent sticker supplied with your name stickers.

Can my stickers withstand dishwasher and microwave oven use?

All our stickers happily withstand the use of bottle warmer, dishwasher and microwave oven, at the exception of our mirror like stickers (mirror stickers with white text) that are not suitable for use in microwave ovens.

 

 

The Tag4Bags

How do I fix the Tag4Bag to a school bag?

For the tag4bags supplied with a ball chain, all you need to do is to unhook the chain from the clasp. Once the chain is open, pass it through the handle or in the zipper pull. Then close the chain with the clasp.

For the Tag4Bags supplied with an elastic band, pass the end through the zipper pull or handle of the bag and double back over the tag. You will find the demonstration in the video below:

Questions about the personalisation of our products

Can I have more than 25 characters of text on the classic iron-on labels for clothes?

You can have a text up to 29 characters and a picture on a classic iron-on label for clothes. However, it is not possible to do so in all the fonts that we offer
For a text up to 26 characters, you can choose the following fonts:
E1, E2, E3, E4, E5, E6, E8.
For a text between 26 and 29 characters long, you can choose the following fonts:
E1, E2, E4, E6

Can I have more than 20 characters of text on my stick-on or sew-on labels for clothes?

Stick on labels for clothes:

As standard you can have 12 characters of text per line and up to 2 lines of text. If you would like or need more characters, we can go up to 15 per line (maximum).

I have not received my order confirmation email

We systematically send order confirmation emails. It may have been redirected to your undesirable emails or spam box or have been categorised by default due to an update of your mailbox.
It is also possible that there is a typo in the email address you entered or you have used a different email address in your order.

How do I change an order I have just placed?
